Alpha-Stim:
At Luminous Hope Counseling Center, we believe in supporting the mind and nervous system with compassionate, evidence-based approaches. We offer the Alpha-Stim AID, a gentle, FDA-cleared cranial electrotherapy stimulation device that may help reduce symptoms of anxiety, insomnia, and depression. The treatment delivers very low levels of electrical current through small ear-clip electrodes to support the brain’s natural ability to regulate stress and mood. Many clients find the experience deeply calming and relaxing, making it a helpful complement to the therapeutic process.
As part of our integrative approach to mental health, Alpha-Stim can support nervous system regulation alongside counseling, helping clients access a calmer, more balanced state while engaging in deeper therapeutic work. Clients are welcome to schedule a session to experience Alpha-Stim during a counseling appointment. If it appears to be a good fit and clinical criteria are met, a device may be prescribed so clients can continue using it at home as part of their ongoing mental health and wellness support.
